Celebrating 34 years with the love of my life, Samuel McArthur Smith, was amazing. It was a weekend full of love, fun, and adventure. From flying down the longest per water biplane in the world at Zipline Utah, to SCUBA diving in the Homestead Crater, to great food, and lots of romance (not on film!), I couldn’t have asked for a better weekend with my soul mate.
Most of all, I love this man. He is so good, so thoughtful, so loyal. All these years he has been the constant in my life. I know that's not true for so many and I didn't do anything to deserve that. In so many ways I just got lucky. I'm grateful for that every day of my life.
If you know my midlife journey, it has included losing nearly 50 pounds. I've never been super body confident—even when I could win a beauty pageant swimsuit competition. Mostly, I honestly just prefer being covered in public and don't find empowerment in undressing!
Still, there are times and places when less clothing works better. Such is the case for swimming, snorkeling, and SCUBA diving—particularly in a hot springs where you definitely do not need a wet suit!
On this trip I wore a new Hollow Back Boardshort Tankini in purple. It was very comfortable and didn't fly up all over the place underwater.
Wishing you all the love you dream of in midlife!
