As I told you in my adoption vlog, I took a DNA (we used both 23 and Me and Ancestry kits) test mostly to find out my true ethnicity. It was a fun activity and curiosity more than anything. In spite of the (surprising, to me) incredulity regarding my own level of biological interest (or lack thereof), it's simply true that I wasn't looking for my biological parents nor even for medical history.

I really just wanted to confirm that I was Irish. (Or Scottish.)

Well, you don't always get what you wish for—and sometimes you get a ton more than you bargained for.

Come along with Sam and me as we take our tests, find the results, and then have a completely unexpected aftermath!
