I've already told you about my diet and sanity saving cocoa. But last night it got even better. My daughter found an odd bottle of sugar free pumpkin caramel syrup at…Ross. She raved about it for a few days until I finally tried it. (I mean, I like my cocoa as is. Why mess up a good thing? And I love caramel, but I'm not an enormous fan of pumpkin flavoring.)
Let me just say that I was wrong to hesitate. Dead wrong. I a few drops of the Jordan's Skinny Syrup in my cocoa mug and it's just divine. Since finding anything at Ross is totally hit or miss, I looked for the syrups on Amazon (they aren't available at my grocer) and found this trio: Pumpkin Spice; Pumpkin Caramel; Pumpkin Cheesecake. Oh, my!
There are other trios (such as The Caramel Collection: salted caramel; caramel pecan; vanilla caramel crème) as well as scads of other flavors, such as white chocolate, raspberry, and English toffee, to name just a few.
All are sugar free with no calories. You can add them to any hot drink or desserts and make a fabulous addition to your morning oatmeal!
Let me know if you try these and what you think. I'm always looking to find new tasty calorie-saving foods, especially if they feel like indulgences without breaking the caloric bank. Please share your best food finds!
