This list is MESSY and, right now, just a dumping ground for things people ask me about. These are the products I use (myself, for real) in my business and my life. I like them, love them, or use them because they are the best solution I can find. This list will be updated if I find something better and it will be cleaned up at some point, I promise!
If you start to get serious traffic, many of the “unlimited” hosting plans will leave your site down. I learned this the hard way more than once when a post went viral. I do not recommend any service that has been bought out by Endurance International Group (EIG).
A number of years ago, I bit the bullet and moved all my sites to LightningBase. I have not had a single minute of downtime since. Not one. None. Zero. I cannot recommend them highly enough if keeping your site up and running is actually an important feature of a hosting service.

I own a slightly different version (Samson SR950), but this one is less expensive and has a higher user review.
If you don't need a full-size tripod (below), this little guy is perfect. It's portable, sturdy, and the legs are bendable and adjustable. You can even wrap the legs around a branch, chair, whatever you need to get the shot.
I've had this baby for a few years and it's great quality, has levels to make sure you are straight up, and adjusts all over the place.
This screws onto the top of the tripod (above) so you can mount a phone to use as a the camera. The one I have is no longer available, but it barely fits around my iPhone 7+. (Who knew mobile phones would be enormous one day?) This one is the currently recommended adapter, will shoot horizontal or vertical, and won't be such a squeeze.
This tiny thing works wonders for audio. I use it on all my talking head vlogs now. The only drawback is that if you are used to projecting out to your camera or phone while shooting, you will have to break the habit or you will blow out your audio. Don't ask me how I know this.

I own the Merdumia Wireless Bluetooth Headphones, but they aren't available any more. These are the closest I could fine, with a great price and excellent rating. The look almost the same as mine, but sturdier. I like this style because it's painless in my ears for a long, hard workout and they do not fall out. And the sound is good, to keep me motivated!
I've had this set for years. They have a very small footprint, but give me lots of options. We did get the stand as well, for convenience. Love them. Prefer the round to the square, because I hit myself with the corners!
